Foodie moving from NYC to ATL-- seeking best foodie In-Town nabes

After 9 years in New York (specifically Park Slope, Brooklyn) my husband and I are moving to Atlanta. We're looking to buy a house in an in-town neigbhorhood like Candler Park, Grand Park or Ormewood Park, or in Decatur/Oakhurst.

Having walked practically everywhere for all this time, we're really looking to live near a village or cluster of great restaurants and coffeeshops, where we can stroll to dinner or to get a coffee or dessert.

My question for all in-town Atlanta folks is, which of the neighborhoods east of downtown offer some of the best dining options?

Thanks in advance, and I look forward to contributing regularly on this board when we move...
