Flour-to-matzo meal equivalents

As a sort of seasonal question to add to Stephanie's matzo ball discussion, does anyone know how much matzo meal to substitute for flour when using/converting regular recipes for Passover? These would be recipes in which flour is more of a binder or thickener, rather than a main ingredient (e.g., not cakes, but maybe something like Yorkshire pudding).
