Hi Flagstaff 'hounds
I am taking the rather ridiculous overnight Amtrak journey from Los Angeles to Phoenix via Flagstaff.
For those unaware, the train does not run directly to Phoenix. There is an Amtrak bus transfer at Flagstaff. However, I've got 2.5 hours to kill before the bus departs for Phoenix.
Oh, and here's the best bit-- the train arrives at 4:30 in the morning and the bus departs around 7am.
So, what's a stranded traveler to do? Are there any decent breakfast places within reasonable walking distance of the station?
I'm traveling light with a backpack, I will (in theory) be well rested and showered from my sleeper car on the train, and I do enjoy walking. I wouldn't mind a nice 30 minute walk (about 1.5 miles) to start off my day, particularly if it lands me in a delicious breakfast place.
Looking forward to hearing your responses!
