Hi, I need to cook 2 (14 pounds each) Prime Rib standing rib roasts (bone-in) in one oven. We are having a large gathering for X-mas dinner and this is my first time making prime rib. Can this be done? I know that I cannot fit two standard roasting pans in the oven.
I was hoping someone might have a good idea. I am going to have each 14 pound roast cut in half. I do have a roaster oven. Should I cook one of the roasts in the Roaster oven? Or will this make the meat too moist?
I would prefer to cook both in the regular oven, I just don't know how to make both roasts fit in one oven. I might be able to make it work with a cookie sheet, but I understand the juices will overflow over the pan's sides.
