Forgive me for starting a new thread on this topic, but I did not want something this vital to be lost in the mix.
Last night we found fish tacos in Chicago. Really great fish tacos. Fried to order, heavily (and heavenly) spiced fillets, watch out for the bones, served with hand made tortillas, and a thick, spicy, complex salsa and fresh jalepenos on the side.
Where, Kabbabish, of course. The tortillas were actually freshly griddled chappati's, and the salsa, well I do not what that's called beside delicious, so sue me. But when you wrap the fish in the bread, with the sides--never has crappy lettuce marred so beautifully with other ingredients--you might find yourself instantly transfered to the beach in cabo san lucas (no?).
