I see a lot of postings that mention that fish entree portions are often "too small." I wonder what people are looking for in terms of fish? I know that Sea Salt serves about a 5 ounce piece of fish (I've asked) and this has seemed like a good size. I've had fish twice at Maverick in SF and both times it's been a perfect five or so ounce piece.
I've had 8 ounce portions at other restaurants and that's just way too much.
So how much fish are Bay Area chowhounders looking for? What places in the Bay Area (that serve fish worth eating) give more than 5-6 ounces per serving?
