Thanks for the reccomendation, I really enjoyed the experience. The chef is a great gal who takes immense pride in her cooking and her food sure is tasty. I had grilled chicken w/ gravy, greens and mac and cheese. She makes sure you don't leave hungry - no skimping on quantity. I paid about $14 for the food with a soda and it was well worth it.
Sitting at the counter you just drool watching her load up orders of fried chicken, ribeye steak, grilled shrimp salads and fish. She boasted about how good her teriyaki salmon was. She scooped some out of the tray for me to try and there was no way I could disagree with her.
A few things she told me:
1)The upstairs seating area should open up in about two weeks and it should seat around 30
2) For folks who need to know about meat stuff in their foods, she told me that she does not use any meat or broth in her veggies and sides, and that her gravy is not meat based at all. It was pretty tasty so I can imagine it would be great over mashed potatoes.
