Managed to stop by Fill Belly's finally, and was impressed by a lot of the food. I ended up tasting nearly everything on the menu:
Fried chicken - This was the standout - freshly fried, tender chicken with a nice crisp batter. Flavorful without being too salty. Small pieces, but pretty generous serving in the $5.00 order of chicken&waffles
Waffles - Probably my least favorite. The waffles are deep fried, which makes them taste a bit like funnel cake. Not bad, but I would rather have a freshly made waffle (made in a waffle maker), and not a fried-version.
Bosilitos - Tried the coconut beef and the curry chicken, and I liked both. Nicely fried, fillings had interesting flavors. Am curious to try the veggie one too, which I didn't get a chance to taste.
Mac&cheese casserole - I liked their mac&cheese, which was very cheesy. I think what we were served was the casserole, which also contains collards and sweet potato, but there was barely any of either of those. I had one bite with some collards in it, and they tasted good.
Prices are cheap, food is great, decor is pretty much non-existent, the dining area didn't seem super clean - would be great to see this place get more business, since they definitely have the food down!
