I have kept this a secret for almost 3 years and decided it was time to share. This is technically cheating b/c I'm taking food from two establishments, but who cares, it tastes AMAZING!!!
1. Go to Al Noor (SOUTH of Marine, and north of the freeway-google maps is wrong. in the strip mall. You can't miss it: http://www.chow.com/places/2731). Call ahead and order one tikka massala paneer and a palak paneer TO GO. I would HIGHLY recommend ordering them "spicy" b/c normal is watered down flavors, but still good. "spicy" isn't even spicy.
THEN, go across the street diagonally to In 'n Out and get a double double. Slather on the sauce and enjoy! I will note that IMO the tikka massala goes better with the burger. Also, the burger is not a vehicle for the sauce, but rather, the two go together in a surprising harmony. Phenomenal with grilled onions on the burger as well. Lastly, although the Indian food takes better a day after (aka, sitting in the fridge) the burger combo goes together MUCH better when both are fresh.
Looking forward to hear people's thoughts!!!!!!!!
