If I'm going to pay about $10 for a sandwich, I want it to be goooooood!
By high end, I mean artisanal bread, high quality meats and cheeses, baby lettuces, gussied up toppings or dressings (aiolis, sundried tomatos, capers, etc).
I would imagine these could be found at many of LA's top bakeries. I did try, and really like, the egg salad from Europane. Was not blown away by either Le Pain Quotidien's prosciutto/mozzarella or Coral Tree's (CC Mall) turkey meatloaf. Heard, but did not experience myself, that Boule's sandwiches were too bread-y. How are the sandwiches at Amandine, if they make them? Sounds like Surfas sandwiches are worth a try too. Anyplace else?
