Let's leave out the burger joints -- looking for other favorites. Thinking about food trends and what might be next.
The hot dog stand/ hamburger joint -- one of the earliest on the scene, and still on top in popularity
Delis -- we all have our favorites; and grocery stores are gradually improving the quality of theirs
Pizza parlors -- still omnipresent; evolved through delivery
Salad bars: They seem to be less present now than they were 15 years ago; safety reasons perhaps
Homestyle: Boston Market/KooKooRoo/CA Chicken/ home meal replacement concept that took off 10 years ago
Dessert Oriented: From Baskin Robbins to frozen yogurt, which started to soar 15 years ago
Asian-themed: Panda Express/Pick-Up Stix -- newer trend
Meal Replacement Bars: Powerbars, Luna, etc.
What are some more trends you see, or what would you like to see in fast food? (I know some of you would like to see no more fast food, so this post is not directed to you.)
