Hi --

I'm a Boston Chowhound with some family in the area, and I couldn't help but post on a new and lovely little bakery on the Post Road, directly across from the Stop and Shop in Westport (in the Westfair Center shopping strip). I just WISH I could remember the name - Indulgence Patisserie, perhaps?

The sugar cookies and linzers were so buttery and delicious, and the rolls were light, flavorful and just the right touch of eggy. We also bought his "corona" bread, a Spanish bread with anise flavoring that was delicious. He had several other breads and will be expanding to 10-15 different kinds. He had lovely fruit tarts and said those are his biggest sellers.

The new owner, Victor, is Guatemalan and he's spent the past 15 years in the bakery business. He was so kind and friendly -- even offering to bake something special just for me and call me when it was ready, no extra charge. Lots of samples.

With all of the bakery closures in the area, it was nice to see this small shop there.
