Okay, was I the only one who thought this was a big bust?!! It seemed like every single place was offering the same thing: sauteed lo mein noodles or fried rice with egg rolls!
And with no particular fanfare when it did vary: the first place we hit was Thai Son on Baxter Street. They had Vietnamese fried spring rolls-two of them for a dollar but with no lettuce wrapping, no cilantro or mint to liven them up, and no dipping sauce! So disappointing!
If anyone else went and found some good offerings at other restaurants, please post them here and be specific. I am inclined to think that the organizers made no effort beyond recruiting restaurants to participate, no effort to make sure different things were being served.
It was really mediocre IMO.
