I found myself in Rockland on Saturday and we stopped in at the lunch counter at Brazilian News in Rockland. Its on Rt 123, after Ocean State Job Lot, and just next to D'Angelo's. I believe its owned by the same folks as Brazil Grill in Brockton (and there were flyers there advertising that Brazil Grill's rodezio is back again).
When we were there the lady in the kitchen was making more dough for fried Pastels. We tried the cheese and meat pastels in the warming oven, plus a coxinha and a friend had one other pastry. Despite not having green onion, the meat filling was excellent and not at all dry... the coxinha was the right size and the filling was good. The pastels were fresh.
Nothing in the store was super remarkable, but it was nice to find a place that made its own snacks fresh, instead of having them delivered. The folks working there were very friendly and I believe they would be helpful explaining the various options to Americans. Brazil Grill also has a good reputation, but I haven't been there yet....
