Esarn Kheaw - Shepherd's Bush

Finally sampled food from this place last night but it was takeaway and I didn't get to eat the food until 2 hours after I had collected it.

I ordered minced catfish larb salad, home made thai sausage and pad thai. Enjoyed the sausages quite a lot, they were served with some toasted peanuts and garlic. Also liked the pad thai, good noodle and ingredient quality perhaps slightly oversweet. The catfish salad was not what I was expecting in that the catfish was moist rather than crispy, it hadn't been deep fried in the style that I enjoyed when living in Bangkok last year; initially I wasn't sure whether I liked it but it grew on me after a few mouthfuls. Chilli factor was midling, I didn't request Thai spicy or equivalent. Not the cheapest at £17.90 for the above with generous portion pad thai but stingy catfish portion size for £7.95, enough to feed 2 I guess.

Overall enough promise in what I ate and what I saw on the menu for me to want to revisit with a group and order a wider array of items and eat fresh in the restaurant.
