I cam't describe how eagerly I was looking forward to tasting the Clams Casino at Gosman's famous high end restaurant. Their menu description had them just right listing chopped green pepper, garlic and bacon on this broiled delicacy with none of the (UGH) cheese that some include.
What was served to me for 7.95 were 4 lonely clams in a bed of seasoned bread crumbs topped with bacon with nary a hint of green pepper nor garlic. When I suggested to the server that I had been mistakenly served stuffed clams (one dollar cheaper) with a piece of bacon on top, she said, "We always serve Clams Casino this way."
So, I tasted one and sent them back where they belonged.
