Emergency BBQ, new in San Carlos

Emergency BBQ is a catering company in San Carlos that has a lot of good comments on yelp. They opened their "deli q" on Monday, April 27. I went there for lunch yesterday and they had their smoker operating outside and links and tri-tip available inside. Soon to come are ribs, brisket, and pulled pork on some to-be-determined schedule. I had the tri-tip sandwich, $7.50 including one side and a drink form the cooler. The owner strongly recommended the beans as a side and they were probably the best baked beans I've ever had. The tri-tip was very good, first marinated and then "rubbed" and a very generous serving. The sourdough roll I chose didn't work well (too much bread and too thick) but they're going to soon have a soft roll option. These people are serious about their barbecue and I look forward to trying their ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Until then, the tri-tip is very much worth going there for. In case you're wondering, I'm not a fan of links at bbq places so almost never order them.
