Eleven Madison Park- Really bad dining experience

Last night my friends and I had dinner at Eleven Madison Park. We had heard nice things about the restaurant and were looking forward to eating there. To say the least we were horribly disappointed. We are an easy to please group who really never complain but now feel compelled to let others know that this restaurant is much less than expected.
The wait staff was inattentive and had an apparent attitude. People dining on both sides of us with whom we chatted felt the same as we did about the staff and the food. Portion size was was so small it was almost comical. I cannot believe their nerve. Appetizers were cold. Main course (three of us had the steak) was so salty it could not be eaten. Steak was small, thin, and 30% fat. Deserts were mediocre at best. Waitress dropped off the check and never said thanks, or did you enjoy the meal?
There are many great restaurants in this city but this place is surely not one of them. Don't waste your time or money here.
