last night i went to the EI for my first time. my husband and i were invited along with 3 other couples. i am normally the one to pick the place and set everyting up, so this was a nice change being invited somewhere.
i was VERY pleasantly surprised at how good it was. from the minute we walked in we were treated VERY well. the owners are very gracious & warm.
we all sat at the cozy bar for a cocktail before we sat down to eat. the inn is made up of a couple different rooms and i think we sat in the "tavern"...it was very comfy cozy at this big square table with a couple on each side. i liked that a lot.
our waitressed suggested this fabulous sangiovese and we wound up with 3 bottles of it. it was smooth as silk and only $32 a bottle.
for app we had: fried scallops, sauted shrimp, ahi tuna, mussles and a few dinner salads. all excellent. for dinner we had 2 pork specials, 3 steaks, 1 chicken, 1 veal, and i had lamb which was one of the best lamb dishes iver ever had with a rosemary garlic sauce. everyone loved their dinner...
for dessert we all actually the brownie sundae and my husband got the creme brulee....all awesome...
all in all a VERY fun & tasty dining experience.
total with tax + tip = a little over $600
