I love the flavor combination of Eggs Benedict, but despise soft or hard cook egg yolk. Several times I've ordered Eggs Benedict in a restaurant, but asked them to sub the poached eggs with scrambled. Once they told me they couldn't do that, so I asked for the poached eggs to be well done, and then removed the yolks myself.
Am I the only one who does this? I've gotten a couple odd looks from the waiter, but I'm sure I'm not the only person who does this. Are there any other Eggs Benedict type dishes that don't use poached egg?
