On Black Horse Pike, in Cardiff Plaza, I stopped into JADE. I wander into anyplace that seems a bit off the more beaten path, and this place certainly qualified.
It was an restaurant/store, with a few fridges of fresh ingredients, vegetables (several I was not familiar with) already made foods, and meats and fish. A few shelves of items ranging from basic soy sauce to
different pastes, noodles, etc.. not any brands I know.
There was a buffet with many seafood, whole fish type, dishes, and vegetables. I took a menu with me, I couldn't eat as I was on my way somewhere.
I can't wait to get back there.
Some items on the menu; Pinakbet, Tanguige Special; singsing, inihaw, Special Goto, and it goes on.
Has anyone tried this place ?
Although it says JADES FILIPINO RESTAURANT on the menu, some of the items I did recognize from other cuisines; tom yum, etc... anyone know about Filipano food, and if so, makes some reccs. as to how best to start off. Thanks!!
