Thanks to a heads up from Brian Yarvin, on the thread about the former Noodlicious....I was in the New Brunswick area this evening and gave this place a visit....and I'm very happy I did.
It's a small place run by a Taiwanese family. The menu consists of:
* Small Cold Dishes....$1.25-5.99
* Dim Sum/Dumplings ....$2.75-6.95
* Sauteed Noodle/Rice Noodle....$7.50
* Soup Noodle/Vermicelli ....$6.00-8.45
* Fried Rice....$6.00-8.99
There are about a dozen small two top tables that can slid around to maybe seat 8 in a row, or any combination of 2,4 or 6.... and a small counter that has 4 seats. The place was full at 8PM this Sunday evening and they were also doing a brisk take-out business while i was there. Not bad for being open only 5 days without any advertising and strictly by word of mouth.
I had the:
Braised Beef Soup Noodles @ $8.45
Pork Steamed Buns @ $5.95
Fried Dumplings @ $5.95
While the Steamed Pork Buns were very tasty, they were not very juicy, but I enjoyed them nevertheless. The Beef Noodle Soup Bowl had very tender Braised Beef Shin Meat(?) and very flavorful Beef Broth. The Pan Fried Dumpling were excellent. Those of you who are looking for the thinnest and most delicate skins may be disappointed, but I was not.. The last picture tells you how I feel about the food and the place...The only thing I left was the bottom of the bowl.
I enjoyed this place more than anyplace I've been to in Flushing with similar fare.
