what to eat before freezing on a bridge new years

Ok, that was meant to get your attention. Trying to put together plans for new years eve. Here's what we're going to do: We're going to go out onto the middle of the Brooklyn bridge in formal garb with a bottle of champagne for the midnight countdown. I love the idea, despite the fact that I will have to walk too far in high heels with the wind whipping through the hip-high slits in the skirt of my chinese silk dress, and the fact that all I have to wear over it is a peacoat (how attractive!). I have nothing else figured out, dinner etc. The limiting factors are 1) we've spent most of our budget on husband's tux rental; 2) I can't walk all over creation in those @#$% shoes; 3) won't get home from work until 6:30, don't think I should be slaving over a hot stove prior to freezing on a windy bridge...how do I put it together? THought about lovely store bought stuff to eat at home first, like Russ and Daughters, but realized it's more than I can spend. Don't want to be stressing out yet again on a holiday. Any good ideas? As I mentionned in another post, we usually end up drinking beer at CB's, and are trying to do something radically different this year!
