My wife and I had dinner last night at thw EastSide Grill on Strong Avenue in Northampton, MA. Both the food and service was outstanding. They cook with a cajun flair and focus on fresh seafood and steaks.
I had the crabcakes and the portion included three extra large crabcakes cooked to perfection and topped with a spicy red pepper sauce. The portion was so filling that I had to give the third to my wife whose entree was a lage salad topped with an ample portion of sliced blackened sirloin, which was cooked to order,
We shared apple crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert and that was also a winner. Done with very tart granny smith apples, it was very refreshing.
Northampton is a funky town and has developed into a real dining destination; we visit frequently. EastSide is certainly one we'll see again.
