Yow!
There is a really cool spot that opened a week ago on the block that Ben's Kosher Deli is on. It is slightly further west, on the north side of the street. I don't know the name of it, but it may have a yellow awning.
Anyhow, I was asking about the different things they were offering and had a sample plate made up of beef goulash, veal stew, stuffed cabbage and mashed potato, which came with a salad and bread for 7.50. All too good! My wife got a burek, which came with a cup of yogurt for 3.50. Everything was homemade tasting. The place was pretty empty for 1:00 on a weekday, I guess people don't know about the place yet. The folks running the place are quite friendly, maybe because they are not yet frazzled by lunch rushes. Someone try one the meat/spinach/cheese pies that they make fresh at lunch time and let me know how it is!

ok!
