Ate at Grotto last night.
Chef wasn't even on (sous chef was) and the food was still excellent.
Some of the best salads in town. The Arugula/Parmessan was great as was the Spinach/Pecan/Beet.
Spaghetti and meatballs were nicely done and satisfying.
However the star of the night was the duck wrapped in bacon with black truffles accompanied by a confit duck leg. This might just be the best duck dish in Boston by my account. It was just drop dead amazing. And $21.
After reading some recent posts about Il Capriccio and Om I just think, why bother, just head on over to Grotto.
