I'm jonesing for mexican breakfast food, and I'm meeting a friend for brunch tomorrow who loves it too. I scrolled down and read the thread with brunch suggestions -- all great -- but Mojo seemed to be the only Latin place mentioned. I looked them up and the fare seems interesting, but not what I'm craving. I'm looking for the kind of place where no matter what you order, it comes with a side of refried beans, a bowl of salsa, and a container of hot tortillas. I want chorizo, chilaquiles, eggs cooked in spicy sauces...anywhere I can get this kind of thing?
A good second best would be a more American-style brunch place that also offers a good mexican/southwestern option, like huevos rancheros. I'd prefer that to fancier places offering fusion cuisine with duck/feta fajitas, if ya know whattimean.
Thanks in advance for helping out with a tall order!
