Domenico's Tonight

Chino Wayne | Jan 30, 2003 11:50 PM

The wife and I, Domenico's, Huntington Drive, Monrovia, this evening:

One green salad (lettuce, tomato, olives, hold the onion, Italian dressing, about a half a pound of shredded mozzarella). One ministrone, with potatoes, carrots, celery, meatballs. One lasagna, piping hot, with about a half a pound of melted mozzarella on top. One fish stuffed chicken special (a chicken breast pounded flat, stuffed with a filet of Orange
Roughy, lightly breaded and baked (I believe) - very tasty, (I told Marie, the propietor she can call this the "Surf & Scratch"), sort of the poor man's low fat surf & turf; substituted the pasta side with a side of sauteed spinach. One small, extremely thin crust (gotta specify this) double pepperoni and sausage pizza. Four pieces of garlic bread. One coffe, one small coke; one iced tea.

Every morsel except two slices of garlic bread were duly dispatched, and as the Mrs. said, they "hit the spot". There was no room for the fresh homemade cannolis tonight, we just trundled out to our cars and somehow, managed to find our way back to The Dining Wilderness That Is The Inland Empire.

$40.90, excluding tip.
