The Dog House Hot Dogs & Sausages - A rip-off !

I had a craving for a Nathan's hot dog today so I went to Natick Mall where there was a Nathans. I say "was" because until today, I had no idea they went out of business. Instead, I found a place called "The Dog House Hot Dogs and Sausages."

I feel that this place is a rip-off, I paid $4.29 for a single Barker Deluxe which was a hot dog on a bun with cheese, chili, and onions and nothing else- no drink or fries included. However, if I opted for it, the usual hot dog condiments came with it for free. They do offer value meal combinations.

To compare it to another fast food restaurant, McDonalds, a comparable food item- a Big Mac sandwich and nothing else costs around $2.90. To add insult to injury, a Big Mac value meal is around the $4-5.00 price range- just a matter of cents above the cost of the barker deluxe. When you do the math, this place is a total rip-off.

Normally I would have said "forget it" but I had hot dogs fixed on my pallet so I paid for one. The only positive of the experience was that the hot dog had a nice beef flavor to it.
