Dinner tonight (MONDAY) with out of town guest

OliverB | Nov 21, 2011 06:57 AM

I have an American friend staying with me in the city and tonight is her last night in town...

I would like to take her out somewhere nice, but everything seems to be closed on Monday.

To give you an idea, here's what the past week has looked like:

Monday dinner - Lemeac

Tuesday brunch - Olive et Gourmando

Tuesday dinner - ??? - (I think we did Pop/Laloux)

Wednesday brunch - Lawrence

Wednesday dinner - Magpies

Wednesday cocktails - Sparrow

Thursday breakfast - Bagels Etc

Thursday mid-aft - JTMarket

Thursday dinner - Kazu

Friday lunch - Pho Lien

Friday dinner - Le Club Chasse et Peche

Saturday brunch - Le Cartet

Saturday dinner - Au 5ieme Peche

Sunday breakfast - La Brigade Volante

Sunday dinner - Pintxo

I did Pintxo w/o her yesterday and it was by far the most enjoyable meal I've had all week, if not all year in the city. I'm considering taking her back only she's pescatarian-(?) veg/fish -- so not ideal for tapas with 2 people, I don't think.

I would have really liked to have done Les Trois Petits Bouchons, Les 400 Coups, Chez l'Épicier, Le Chien Fumant, La Montée or something along these lines... but it's Monday night and I can't think of anything of this quality that's open.

I think the kitchen at Mas Cuisine is cooking on Mondays... can anyone offer feedback in comparisson to the above choices and based on the list of places above that we've been to this week? Has anyone been to Graziella recently; is that boring for a last night in Montreal? Ferreira maybe?? What about Orexi, is it true that they are closed for good? Is Atma open tonight?
