Dinner recommendations for 8 fun people in Tribeca

Hello!
I'll be visiting NYC next month and staying in Tribeca. I'm trying to find a good place for dinner for 8 people total that is within walking distance from our hotel (Duane Street Hotel). We are in our 20's and 30's and we love all kinds of food - including inventive American cuisine and also ethnic cuisines like Japanese and Vietnamese. We will be celebrating someone's 40th birthday (ok so I guess that makes us in our 40s too!) so I want the atmosphere to be fun and less formal but still very good food. Price range would be about medium to high.

So far, I've considered Landmarc, Marc Forgione, and Sushi Azabu as options. What do you think of those places given the criteria I've shared above? Are there any other options that I should consider? Also, what about places for before- and after- dinner drinking? I checked out the Brandy Library which sounds awesome but our party appears to be too big for them.

Thanks for your help!!
Tracy
