I am organizing a banquet for 80-90 of my best friends in mid-march in San Francisco. We have about $50 per head to spend not including tax, gratuity, or wine.
We are considering buying out a resturant or renting a large private room in a resturant. The challenge is finding a place that can accomadate 80-90 people, is on budget, yet doesn't serve typical banquet fare (aka bad food).
So far we have eliminated the Cornellian Room, but are considering the Watergate and Hawthorne Lane.
I know I can count on fellow chowhounders for good insight. All comments are appreciated.
