Golden King used to be a buffet restaurant. It has been closed for a while and just opened as a sit-down Chinese restaurant (with a few Japanese and Thai dishes).
But the exciting thing for me was that the have dim sum. It is order from a menu (somewhat like A&J) not cart.
I had lunch there today and everything I had was good. I was alone, so didn't get to taste as much as I would have liked.
I had Har Gow, Fried Taro Dumpling, Rice Noodle crepe with crispy cruller inside, steamed bean curd sheet roll with shrimp and pork, Pan Fried Green Leek Dumpling and Sweet Almond Jelly.
All were freshly made and hot!
There is also a selection of congee and noodle soups. They have hanging duck, soy sauce chicken, salted chicken, roast pork also.
I was very happy not to have to go to Mark's, A&J or Rockville/Gaithersburg! And I'll be sampling more of the menu soon!
