I want to bring my dad to have dim sum not on Father's Day, but probably the Sunday before, 6/13, around 1:00.
The problem is that he's 90 and recovering from various heart ailments (he's okay to eat out though once in a while), and my 7 year old will be there. Having to wait 30-45 minutes before eating is too hard, and logistically, we can't go first and have them come later. I don't want to bring it home for him because eating out will be good for him mentally, and he'll enjoy the whole experience.
Do you have suggestions of good restaurants that won't be packed by 1:00 p.m. or will take reservations? Since we're both unemployed but still want to celebrate Father's Day with him, a less expensive place would be helpful. Ideally, it would not be in Chinatown but would be somewhere where parking is not terrible. Dad lives in the Sunset. We live in SSF.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
