Why is Dilettante (Seattle) so crowded?

I ate there a long time ago. $6+ for a very small slice of chocolate cake. It was nothing special. So I wonder why that place is always completely packed at night. Other restaurants in the area are half-full at those hours. Come to think of it, I really need to open one of these seen-to-be-seen places. There is never a shortage of sheep who would pay through the nose for just about anything. Baaaaaahhhhh.
