DFW: Mainstream Fish House review

I am forever on the lookout for reasonably priced seafood restaurants in North Dallas. The places I typically go are Pappadeaux's (gotta really be hungry because of the large portions), S&D Oyster, and various sushi places. Anyway, last night my wife and I went to the Mainstream Fish House. Overall, I liked both the food and the room and the service was excellent.

We got there around 8:15 and the place was not busy at all. Some of the dishes we enjoyed are the shrimp cocktail with avocado (there was no avocado to be found), gumbo, New England clam chowder, house salad, and fish burger. The gumbo was average and the chowder was good. With drinks and food the bill came to $53 which I thought was reasonable.

We'll go back again.
