We went to the recently reopened Maguire's Uptown Grille last night. With the recent cold weather, I was in the mood for something hardy. I've always liked this place because of one reason: thick, tasty pork chops. Anyway, they've gone through a recent remodeling to make the place more inviting and upscale. A strong smell of solvent greeted us at the door but we soon got use to it. We shared an excellent smoked salmon appetizer, I had the pork chops, and my wife had the tilapia with a pistachio crust. Both the food and service were good. I'll go again and probably request to be seated in the upper dining room area where it's cozier.
