Destino report--thumbs up

On the advice of the Hounds, we went to Destino last night, and were generally quite pleased. They got started off on the right foot with a terrific mojito. Lots of places make 'em, but lots of places screw 'em up. Theirs was refreshing and not too sweet.
I was happy to see that they had a Portuguese vino verde on the wine list, but wished they had sold it by the glass. After the mojito, we didn't want to do the full bottle. Next time...
The small plates are the way to go here--the sea bass ceviche, sautéed tiger prawns and sliced duck breast were all excellent. When the prawns arrived in the ever-so-trendy martini glass, I was skeptical--thinking that it was a tiny portion, not-so-cleverly hidden. Turns out, it was a lot bigger than I thought--and quite tasty, too (make sure you hang on to your bread to mop up the sauce).
The yucca fries are wonderful, but very filling. By the time the one large plate we ordered arrived, we were stuffed! Good thing, though--the plantain crusted mahi-mahi was the one disappointment of the night.
As we were finishing up, we were treated to a performance by a pair of tango dancers--a nice surprise to end the night.
All in all, a very positive experience--just stick to the small plates.
