i think there might be a handful of these in New York and possibly SF. what i'm thinking of is a place where you go and all they have are desserts that are composed like at a fine-dining establishment except with no savories to be seen anywhere, and also no wines except for dessert wines and that ilk. (not to be confused with bakeries/jpastry shops/ectc, and not to be confused with your garden variety simple everyday dessrts)
i think the places in ny are called chikalicious and room for dessert, if you need the point of comparison.
to my knowledge, there are exactly zero of these dessert places in LA? please prove me wrong.
and if there not around i'm curious as to why no dessert chef has thought about it as the next trend.
