With prune plums in season I thought I would make my go to plum cake using a Joy of Cooking recipe...but thought I might like something different.
I decided to try the recipe for Ina Garten's Plum Cake Tatin, which is essentially a Plum Upside Down Cake.
It came out really really good. The plums cooked nicely and were sweet and juicy.. The cake is like soft velvet. The lemon zest in the cake pairs nicely with the plums.
