It was great to meet chowhounds whose posts Ive enjoyed for several months as a lurker, and of course, sample the many wonders of tri-state chow at the social this weekend.
Now I feel read to jump into the fray with my first post. As I mentioned to several chowhounds on Sunday, I had a great meal at Ubols Kitchen two weeks ago (on a Wednesday, when our first choice Sripraphai, was closed). So I was very surprised to come home and find the downhill alert for Ubols Kitchen. As much as I wanted to sample Sripraphais based on the rave reviews on this board, I would have steered clear of Ubols Kitchen had I known it was it on downhill alert.
For the record, we had the vegetarian appetizer (fried bean curd) and entrees (pad thai and steamed vegetables), delicious and served hot.
