Deceptive Practice at West Palm Steakhouse

7 of us had dinner there last night and before I start, I want to say that the food was good and the service was fine, but what the waiter did really really ticked us off. When he listed the specials of the evening, he mentioned a sample app platter of different types of seafood, fried calamari, shrimp, etc. for the table. It sounded good, so we ordered it. Well when we got the check, we found out that what he had done, was to take it upon himself to combine 2-3 orders of 5 different apps and squeezed it all on one big plate. The tab for that app dish was over $100 which was the combined cost of 2-3 orders of 5 apps. We would never have ordered that many apps since we ordered 7 entrees. I really think that this is outrageous. I have to say it really spoiled the evening. I don't mind paying, but not when its done in such an underhanded manner.
