decent place in the port

so, I was in Montreal and the wife wanted to eat lunch while we were in the old port....knowing that this would probably be a rip off, but not wanting to spoil her day, we stopped at la maree, on the main strip (Place Jacques-Cartier)...well, it wasn't the best meal I ever had, and the lunch was a bit expensive ($17.50 for the lunch menu), but the food was really nice, and the view was great. So, if you are considering eating on the main drag, you could do a lot worse :-)

btw-I got the talmon tartare app, with mahi-mahi as my main, and the wife got the soup with steak as her main...neither of us got desert ($3 extra)

I was pleasantly surprised, the staff was really nice, the food was good and not horribly overpriced, considering the location. Other restaurants were like $12.95 or so for lunch, and they looked a lot worse :-)
