I am in the final stages of preparing the next DDC dinner. It will be on Tuesday, October 29 at 6:30 at Ramona's, 403 N. Haddon Avenue, Haddonfield, NJ. The cost most likely will be $25 per person, including tip and tax, though it may be a few dollars higher.
Though the full menu will follow, it will include most or all of the following and some surprises: corn bread with guava butter, ground beef empanadillas, fried cheese salad, egg tortilla with potato and vegetables, fried calamari, ground beef stuffed papas rellenas, arroz con pollo y chorizo, mofongo, roast pork with sweet plantains, tostones, yucca, rice and beans, flan and rice pudding.
Does that sound like enough food?
For those who are new, the DDC is the Dangerous Dining Club founded by Rich Pawlak in the 1980s and resurrected last year. We try to have a meal each month that showcases a wide range of a particularly good, though not necessarily widely known, restaurant or cuisine. All are invited to attend, though it is on a first come, first served basis and space will be limited.
