Two days for a solo walking/diner near Pike's

San Francisco/Napa hound is heading to Seattle late next month for my birthday. I'm staying at the Edgewater and will only be walking everywhere so as much as I'd like to head to The Herbfarm in Woodinville, that would require transportation I don't have.

Matt's In The Market and Wild Ginger are the only restaurants I've eaten at in Seattle. Matt's was fabulous for a lunch excursion and Wild Ginger was too much like the Asian-fusion I can find here in California.

Two whole days; a Saturday and a Sunday, before I take the ferry over to Victoria. There is nothing I don't eat and as a solo diner, I have no problem pulling out a book while working through a long tasting menu on a white tablecloth, or saddling up to a gastropub bar. I'd love fabulous local seafood or perhaps small plates or Cuban?

I walk a lot so a mile or two is not a problem, as long as I can walk back to the hotel in relative safety. Help me devise my dining itinerary!
