Darn good burger down Philly way, at General Lafayette's

I was down visiting a friend, and he took me to this place in Lafayette, General Lafayette's brew pub, where I had a good Red Ale and one heck of a good burger.

The ale was very pleasant, not too carbonated, creamy with just the faintest sweet aftertaste. If every ale I brewed turned out like that, I wouldn't be unhappy, not at all. It put a smile on my taste.

The burger was 1/2 lb of Angus beef, cooked to a perfect medium rare over a flame, served on a kaiser roll, with provolone, fried red pepper slices, and l/t/m. I also ordered beer-battered onion rings with jalapeno ketchup.

Man, that burger was worth savoring; I ate that sonovagun slow, it was so good. It was the best burger I've had in quite a while. And the rings with jalapeno ketchup were also really great.

I strongly recommend this place for top notch burgers. I don't know if it has any kind of reputation down your way, but if it has a bad one, I can't wait to try a place with a good one!
