Maffei's is possibly the most underrated pizza in the city. It's a little storefront at the corner of 22nd and 6th Ave, just across from the Barnes and Ignoble.

It has possibly the best sausage I've ever eaten on a pizza. I eat at this place every chance I get. I ate there twice last weekend.

It's got a great atmosphere, too. The owner, Dominick, is very voluble and outgoing; he always has a crowd of friends coming in to talk. I never see anyone leave without complimenting the food.

(It's really cheap, too. Did I mention that it's cheap?)

If you value the art of making pizza, please pay this man a visit.
