On one leg of a family trip next month, we will be changing planes at Love Field, and we will have a relatively lengthy layover (by Southwest Airlines standards, anyway) of almost 2 hours. Not enough time to leave the airport, obviously, but also rather a lot of time to kill, especially with an energetic almost-4-yr-old in tow.
The airport website doesn't sound too promising--Chili's and McDonalds mostly. But, is there by chance anything hidden away within the airport confines that is a little more interesting, or at least of local Dallas provenance? Or does the Wright Amendment prohibit good food (as well as long distance flights) at Love?
(We will be flying from New Orleans so I guess we can always pack some muffelattas and po-boys if the local choices are too hopeless.)
Thanks in advance to the Dallas Hounds for any survival tips.
