Daisy May's BBQ satisfies...

My partner and I have been doing the BBQ tour of Manhattan and environs and decided to try Daisy May's for the first time...My son-in-law suggested it as one of his favorites but advised: If you want atmosphere this may not be the place...It all turned out quite fine: we walked in at an off-peak time around 4 p.m...our order taker was very kind and helped us order efficiently, even saving us some money in the process...we knew we could not try everything so we decided to share a full rack of Memphis Dry Rub Pork Ribs with sides of Baked Beans with burnt ends, Creamy Coleslaw, Rustic Creamy Corn with New York State Cheddar and a hunk of their Golden Spicy Corn Bread...all was very satisfying. We sat at our communal table and enjoyed it down to the last morsel. Oh, those beans, the corn, the slaw (the sides are actually made important here, a real plus)...and those tender ribs! As for the atmosphere: the room is odd and the TVs were showing 'black classics', but the lack of it was in fact the atmosphere...only other rub: we wished we could have had the option of ordering 'unsweetened' iced tea, as we do not drink soda...a bottle of water contained us though...and we will be back to try more!
