Daimo (Sacto) re-visited, twice.

When Daimo of Sacto first opened, I was quite critical. Mainly because they tried mighty hard to make people think they are like the Daimo in east bay, and they are not close. While their dishes are passable, it's comparatively expensive. Recently they've been advertising about new management and new menu, not a good sign. But a recent review of their won ton noodle here made us went back, twice. Yes the won ton noodle is very good. 5 very large pieces of won ton stuffed with shrimp. The noodle has the right chewiness and taste of the best of the HK noodle places. It's closer to our house than our fav New HK Wok, so at a pinch they'll do. Their prices are still 20% higher than HK Wok and the Daimo in East Bay. And their location is atrocious. If they were in Folsom or Roseville they'd do much better business. As it is when I talked to one of the waiters he said they are doing well, esp. lunch. They are also open till 12:00, so hopefully they can maintain.
